The piece that changed my devart life I suppose. It will always hold a special place in my heart. I know its not perfect but somehow I cant bring myself to go beyond minor changes....fearing it will lose its charm.
Renamed "My Vanity" largely because the character's personality and story have been more developed since I first posted it. Sadly the story is just swimming around in my head until the day perhaps my writing muse will surface again fully.
Callistus was born into a high rank family, a prince in line to be king he was more interested in self conceited beauty than running a kingdom. He refused to do anything that would damage his face, and grew so obsessed with his own appearrance that he was willing to go so far as sell his soul for a pair of wings that would rival those of even an angel. Bound by a contract that lasted a hundred years he lost a large portion of his innocence, but never his arrogance or narcissistic pride...but nevertheless, ached for freedom until it was presented once more to him.
It was then he met and befriended a kind loving woman with a beautiful soul, but a face marred with deformity. Already having vowed never to love someone that couldnt produce an heir true to his own beauty, he denied the desires of his heart and pushed her away. It wasnt until she'd found someone new that he'd realized his mistake, and in the end grew to hate his beauty...

I hope you all can enjoy this picture whether it be for the first time, second time, or hundredth time ^^ To answer questions...the person in the background is nobody as i drew the picture before I had a story haha. THE END!
