um....reposting because I think personally its one of my best works simply because of the feel and message behind it. I drew it a long time ago for lasaro's emotion contest and posted it on my old account. My chosen emotion was insecurity. While anorexia is a serious desease the image itself is intended to depict the emotion as a whole. The majority of us as people know what its like to look in the mirror and see something we hate...obsess over it. Whether it be physical looks, or if it be who we are inside its rare for one to be truly content with themself....always looking to others and seeing a perfection in them that isnt really there. I've personally found myself obsessing in the past over the person I am inside...and hating it. That was the me I saw in the mirror...and always I'd look to others wishing for what they had. This kind of obsession tends to eat away at us which is why I thought anorexia was the best way to depict this in a visual media.

I feel like I'm rambling. I hope that this picture touches some of you. It really does hold great meaning for me.
