Born from the darkness

the lord of nightmares lives

Born from my pre sleep visions. I was half asleep when this came to me and I knew that moment I had to capture it on paper. I'm not really a macabre artist of any kind but lately these sorts of images have been what my fingers so desire to produce it seems. Ah well I hope you all like it too. Seeing as how its a really off chance I'll color this I spiffed up the lineart but 90 percent of the work was done traditional with my own pencils, as the color tint and texture took the whole of about 5-10 minutes. ENJOY!

For not being familiar with this style of art, you sure don't show it!
Upon looking closer, I realized that he is holding out his arms (I thought they were shoulders at first) and the perspective looks a bit off. Looks like he has tiny arms or something. Especially his right arm - looks like maybe you drew the monsters framing him first and then drew in him? Maybe if you made his arms more too the side you could avoid the lack of space? just a suggestion.
The overall design and flow of this images is flawless I think! I mean, the way his clothing just flows into these beasts, and how the beasts are well positioned to bring the viewer's eye full circle!! I lie not when I say I am jealous of your design skills! Especially when you used jagged lines to make these critters... very impressive indeed!
