my final app for groups. I already can tell I'm entering too many of these lol ah wel. >> At least this way I can try out all three and see which I like the most? And now I have come to discover my character Renchi has a sister lol. I kept thinking of him the whole time I was working on her. Renchi is jealous that she looks older than him and has nicer clothes. Anyway onto the app part.
Name: Tessa Talbot
Gender: Male (yep you read that right... serves me right for watching too much Rupaul)
Date of Birth: March 29th
Weight: 130 lbs
Team: Pirate: Jorsine
Tattoo location: Neck- right side. (because the outfit covers EVERYTHING! I really wanted to make it a tramp stamp lol)
Weapon: Cutlass and Flintock Pistol
Fighting style: Because the gun is timely to load it is used more for fear than for actual battle. When combat gets close he most often takes to the Cutlass, but has been known to bludgeon his enemies with the blunt of his pistol if the need arises. He is resourceful and has been known to make due with anything around him, and gone so far as to fight with broken chairs or empty bourbon bottles as well. Reckless and acting before thinking battles can be brutal and he rarely comes out unscathed.
Personality: Hot headed, proud, and not especially reliable, Tessa lives for the most important person in his life every day... himself. Focused on the thing he loves most, he'd do just about anything for all things shiny and gold. Of course only recently he's discovered something even more important... his life. Forcing smiles are a part of his day to day activities, as are mantras telling him over and over he's in control and exactly where he wants to be, a belief that is difficult to instill given the troubles he has to spend daily altering his appearance. Loyal only to himself its a wonder he's yet to slip up in his position with the Jorsine, and with temptation striking over and over, he only just manages to keep his wit about him. After all, how can one enjoy gold and glitter with a noose around their neck?
Likes: Gold, diamonds, silver, all other sorts of treasure, are top on his list, well second on his list next to himself. However life wouldn't be the same without a deck beneath his feet and salty sea air. Always one for a good brawl, a bottle of booze, and a card game its fairly easy to appease and please him. He loves being in control and can be seen as bossy as a result of this.
Dislikes: Rules, the military, a noose, being on a leash, all things that put a damper on his day. Though he's more vulnerable than he lets on even to himself. Its rare that anyone can bring him to tears and if he cries its NEVER in front of anyone, but on the off chance someone catches him doing so, the world may as well be ending. He hates being seen as weak and would do anything to keep the illusion of his strong demeanor. He also hates taking commands, to a point that when forced to do so he has a tendency of convincing himself it was his idea in the first place. Finally and utmost he despises more than anything, pantyhose, padding, stuffing, tucking, taping, gluing, and otherwise altering himself to take on the role of a woman, but desperate times, desperate measures.
History: Not one to take crap from anyone he has a mouth like a sailor and a personality to suit. He gladly would have remained the gold digging, profit seeking scourge of the seas he'd spent years building himself up to be had he not been... well... caught off guard during a skirmish at a pub that brought about all the change he never wanted. Years on the high seas and he lost it all over a card game in a place with his poster on the wall. Faced with the choice of the gallows, or a pardon at the cost of his pride, he nearly took execution, after all, death was better than such treachery, and anything else that might come with switching sides... Ready to hang bravely he made it clear to the gallows, but given one final chance to make amends his thoughts wandered to the piles of gold he still had tucked away, money he could, if he managed to live, still have access to. As it glittered in his mind all thoughts of loyalty faded and he agreed to serve the role of the Jorsine. This lead to both the painful infliction of a new tattoo, and the alterations of his old one in hopes of covering up his past... alliances. But the degradation didn't end there. What were once allies heard rumors of the betrayal, and were now hot on his trail had him eager to go into hiding, and paranoia lead him to the insufferable choice of a lifetime. Along with his change in sides came one in lifestyle, and Tessa was born. Layers of makeup, padding, tucking, stuffing, taping, and any number of things he'd rather not talk about became part of a daily routine to help pass off his rouse and present herself as someone new... all for her life and a love of gold. It seemed it was all for naught for, as chance would have it, by the time she returned to her lost treasure, it was long gone, and all she had left was her life, a gun, a loathsome disguise, and an alliance with a group she was shamed to be a part of. Determined to turn it around she swore in that moment she would find a way to once again earn all she'd lost... even if it meant continuing her efforts with the Jorsine... as a woman. In complete denial of her situation she now faces every day convincing herself she's every bit the pirate (and man) she always was, and as far as she's concerned nothing can take that away.
Additional Info: He tapes, he stuffs, he tucks, and he's not proud! It takes him an hour to get ready every day and only at night when he's alone does he dare untuck. He hasn't entrusted anyone in his current life with his secret. Before her transformation his name was Tei Talbot. He has a Shienna tattoo on his lower back that has since been altered to resemble a butterfly. He keeps it hidden if and whenever possible but is secretly still proud of ever having been a part of their ranks. (albeit lower ranks) He isn't loyal to the Jorsine, but because of his personal self preservation, he does as he's told begrudgingly. He doesn't know any of his family and has been on the seas since he was a small child working in the kitchens. He believes a great deal in superstitions and his actions can be swayed one way or another depending on lore behind it. Despite that he must pretend he holds no faith in the superstitions against women on boats... even if such things terrify him.
